I'm a Google Developer Expert!

I am very proud to announce that as of today, I am a Google Developer Expert. If you haven't heard of Google Developer Experts before, they are a global network of experienced product strategists, designers, developers and marketing professionals that actively support developers and startups.

While this doesn't mean that I am employed by Google, it does mean that I am able to speak at conferences, write code samples, and mentor developers with the backing and help of the Google Developer team. Which means that it is essentially an ambassador role for Google's Developer initiative. It's a great opportunity to do my day job as well as be involved with the wider web performance community.

The particular area that I will be focussing on is web performance, which is great, because it is something that I am definitely passionate about! If you do see me at a conference, please come over and say hi!
