I'll be speaking at Velocity Conference New York 2014

Velocity Conference is without a doubt one of my favourite conferences of the year. It's the conference where different topics such as DevOps, web operations, web performance, and mobile explode into being. Packed with some of the best speakers in the industry; it's a great place to learn and network.

I was lucky enough to be asked to present at last years Velocity Conference in London, and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. If you'd like to see details of last years presentation, please checkout this link for more details.

I've been lucky enough to be invited to present at this years Velocity Conference in New York, along with my partner in crime Robin Osborne. The title of our talk is called "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of the HTTP Archive" and covers a number of lessons that can be learnt from the wealth of information that the HTTP archive contains. What are some of the techniques that the best websites on the net are using? What are some of the worst sites out there doing wrong? In the talk, we will uncover the good, the bad, and the ugly of the HTTP Archive and show one simple thing for each that will dramatically improve their page load performance.

If you are in or around New York and are able to attend the conference, I thoroughly recommend doing so. It is only a few weeks away and there are still tickets available. If you are interested in attending this event, I have a discount code to hand out that will give you a 20% off discount. When registering for any package, simply enter the code SPKRFRIEND.

Oh, and if you do make it there and would like to catch up, we'll be hosting an Office Hours at the event. Bring along your web performance questions - we'd love to know more!
